The art
Found objects rescued from the house before it was gutted, staged and preserved in photographic works. Dismantled fixtures and removed materials, remnants of former residents, all traces and signs of times past reinterpreted and reevaluated.

The artist
Art alert: An original hangs in every residential unit! The walls of your home are adorned with unique works of art by the artist Thorsten Brinkmann. The photographed exhibits are colorful snapshots taken directly from inside the building. For weeks, Brinkmann's creative process found its way into the house on Wöhlertstraße. The Wilhelminian-style building became both a source of inspiration and a treasure trove for the Hamburg-based artist: objects left behind, remnants and decorative elements from times gone by became part of his creative patchwork. What would be a Messi nightmare for some was a paradise for Brinkmann. The result speaks for itself - and for your good taste.
